About Interplay
Interplay has long been recognized for its high standards and excellence in teaching. Since its founding in 1983, the school has attracted internationally acclaimed and award-winning instructors from renowned dance companies and universities, such as the National Ballet Company of Canada, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Jeune Ballet de Canne, OMO Dance Company and the Alberta Ballet.
Interplay offers both recreational and pre-professional classes. The Recreational Division offers a variety of classes for those students ranging in age from 2 to adult, who simply enjoy dancing for fun. The Pre-Professional Division is designed for gifted, highly motivated students who wish to be considered for RAD exams and/or participation in Interplay's acclaimed performance company "The Interplay Dance Company." Many of our dedicated, talented pre-professional students who wish to pursue a dance career are accepted into the National Ballet School of Canada, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Boston Ballet School, Quinte Ballet School and The Banff Centre.
Classes include Classical Ballet following both the Cecchetti and Royal Academy of Dance methods, Pointe, Ballet Repertoire, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap and Modern Dance.
Interplay's main studio is located in downtown Toronto at 250 Davisville Avenue (Davisville & Mt. Pleasant) and also operates dance programs in partnership with Bishop Strachan School, and runs outreach programs at Branksome Hall and Mooredale House to provide quality after-four dance programs.
